Our love story began like many modern love stories begin these days…via a dating app. In our case, however, we had a mutual friend that was the reason for our connection.
Nayan’s Version:
I almost did not contact Mary on the dating app for the sole reason that she had not posted any ski pictures on her profile. However, after exchanging a few messages, I realized how wrong I was about her and that we had so much in common, including our love of skiing. The first time I saw her I was in awe of her beauty and was totally drawn towards her. However, over the next month of dating, it was her kind, adventurous, caring, and gentle spirit that I fell in love with and I knew I had found my life partner.
Mary’s Version:
My interest in Nayan first piqued when I saw his many adventurous photos on his profile. Within our first telephone conversation, he asked me to join him on his solo four day backpacking trip in the Sierra Mountains. Of course, I knew better than to go backpacking alone in the mountains with no cell reception with a man I had never met, however I was definitely impressed by his intrepid spirit. When he asked me to go rock climbing on our second date, I knew that this was definitely a person worth getting to know. Sure enough, within the first month of dating, I knew I had met the perfect person for me, one who shared my sense of adventure, my passion for life, and who would be the love of my life.
